Setelah taruhan putaran pertama dilakukan, pembagi kartu menaruh kartu teratas dari tumpukan kartu dalam keadaan tertutup di meja. Kartu ini disebut burn card (kartu yang tidak dipakai). Tiga kartu berikutnya dari tumpukan kartu diletakkan secara terbuka, yang disebut flop. Sekarang setiap pemain memiliki dua kartu di tangannya dan tiga kartu bersama.
